    "He hasn't done the homework until the dinner. " is not a complex sentence because it contains only one clause. This is incorrect because the ideas are not related: "She was a nice girl, yet her father died.".

This is a story from An Upheaval written by Chekhov narrated that a governess was searched rudely by her house misstress and then she left.
